What distinguishes us further is that our chair and
lead physiotherapist does not only have a
doctorate in hippotherapy, and is therefore an
expert in the theory of hippotherapy, she also has
cerebral palsy and is therefore acutely aware of
the effects of a disability on an individual, and of
the benefits a good horse’s movement brings
to people with neuro-motor disabilities.
We are delighted to acknowledge a
grant towards key items, such as our
wheelchair accessible mounting platform and
our assessment couch, which we received
through the LEADER programme from the
European Regional Development Fund and One
North East.
