Individual clients are at the centre of our efforts.
We recognise that peoples’ emotional well-being,
dignity and self-esteem are essential for successful
rehabilitation in any field.
Therefore, we focus on what an individual can do
and the development of each individual client’s
potential in our efforts to maximise his or her ability
and potential.
The horse is a very powerful partner in this process.
We recognise that horses provide a wonderful
opportunity for learning and exploring. They are
social animals and seek interaction with humans.
Therefore, whenever safe and possible, we seek to
facilitate contact between our clients and our horses
beyond clients’ time on horseback during
hippotherapy. This might be by allowing clients to
stroke or help with grooming our horses and
observe different aspects of horse care. This would
always be with the carer’s agreement, in a safe
environment and under supervision.
If you would like to explore the possibility of
interacting with our horses in this way, rather than
having hippotherapy for yourself, your child, or your
clients, please contact us. We are always open to
suggestions and keen to respond to clients’
individual wishes and requirements.
